MERCY & COMPASSION - Almighty and ever-loving God, look with compassion and mercy on our humanness, on all our struggles and weaknesses. Strengthen us for the journey ahead. Give us the wisdom to follow your call. Enliven us with the grace to be repairers and restorers of your love. Help us to be people of mercy and hope and to bring that mercy and hope to all we meet. Amen!
Thank you, Lord, for 19 and 20 plus years with, Tami and Gigi. My heart aches for them, as well as all my loved ones who have died.I pray that they are with you in your eternal kingdom waiting for the rest of us. Please help me through this grief so that I am not a worry to John. I ask this in Jesus' holy name. Amen.

This morning Gideon helped teach the children's message and demonstrated how well he obeys. His examples showed me three truths that I can apply to following Jesus.***First, Gideon has a handler. She provides for him, protects him, and takes him to the people who need a visit. Similarly, Jesus cares for me and supplies my needs. He also places me in a community where I can serve. If we listen to our Shepherd. He'll guide us to the right place. **Second, Gideon obeys his handler. He doesn't make a move without a command. I felt humbled as I thought of how often I ignore Jesus's direction to "stay" and "come." Gideon's obedience was cheerful and enthusiastic, qualities I'd like to emulate. I long to bring comfort to the hurting and as I become better at hearing and obeying Jesus's guidance, I'll become more effective source of comfort to others. ***Finally I drew encouragement from another aspect of Gideon's ministry. When he visits with those in pain, He doesn't provide wise counsel. He doesn't worry about whether he has enough talent or skill to serve. He just wags his tail and offers the gift of h is presence. As Jesus invites us to care for the hurting, we don't need to worry about our limitations. Father God thank you for Jesus' Ascension. Jesus thank you for becoming incarnate and entering our world. Holy Spirit thank you for your gifts and fruit in our lives. Holy Trinity thank you for my relationship with you through prayer. Your Word/Jesus says that if my people who are called by My Name (Christians) would humble themselves and pray and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways(racism, ageism, sexism & all evil). Dearest Fr Paul and my Brothers and Sisters in Christ, This is the day the Lord has made, let us REJOICE and be glad in it. What a WONDERFUL Sunday mass Please let us all remember our dearly departed. It is so hard to Let go and Let God. My Dad Mr Tom Shea ( Past Grand Knight So Ozone Park NY) and Franciscan of the 3rd Order at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Loving Faithful husband to Mrs Joan Marie Shea my Blessed Mom. My Dad went Home Safely to Our Lord on March 7 and Im sure He is helping to paint the beautiful Sunsets and Sunrises. He loved painting amongst so many other talents. What my Sister Sue and I are so saddened about is Our dear Brother Bill Shea ( originally from So Ozone Park) also was called Home to Our Lord on April 30, 2020. What a shock. We are doing a little better One day at a time and I cannot forget The Serenity Prayer, The Lord's Prayer, I want to Thank the Passionists for this Beautiful Sunday mass. It was a true blessing to see your Sunday mass. Pray for the Whole World. God bless everyone with protection from this nasty sickness especially the Elderly and medical care workers. St. Dymphna continue to watch over my son Jeremy who lives with mental illness. Holy Spirit light and guide our way. Prayers of healing for all those fighting cancer, the virus and all chronic conditions. Prayers for all those who have lost loved ones from the virus, grant them comfort and strength during this very difficult time. Dear Lord please watch over my family. Provide them protection from those whom wish to do them harm. Provide peace of mind and guidance for my daughter. Protect and guide me at my positions for my three jobs. Let truthfulness, justice, and the moral compass of others prevail for me and my family. Continue to provide protection, safety, health, happiness, love, good spirits, financial stability and growth, and piece of mind to my family and me. Provide me the opportunity to grow my finances for the sake of my daughter’s education and towards my independence. Heal me from what ails me right now and get my body back to its healthy, lean state. Help D.J.s knee and soul heal that he may find peace with himself and his family, and help him grow his finances. Let there be authenticity, respect for me , truthfulness, sense of being valued, and genuine love in my relationship as that is what I am seeking and in need of at this time in my life. Help him have genuine show of appreciation for me, and be completely transparent and honest. God please protect and heal J.J. and provide him with comfort and love he needs during this difficult time. Protect D.J. ,all my friends, family, and me from getting any colds and viruses. Heal those with the virus, protect those who come in contact with the virus, especially our healthcare workers, law enforcement, grocery/store and delivery workers, those with compromised immune systems, elderly, those with underlying health conditions, and military. Thank you for all of the blessings that you have bestowed upon us as we are forever grateful. In Jesus name I pray. Amen
Dear Lord, I offer you this prayer, to help me with my current relationship situation. Please take away all the pain and hurt in my heart. Fill it with love, joy, patience, and understanding. Bless me and my partner, so that we may never surrender to whatever challenges that come our way. Fill our hearts with love for each other, and may you make each one of us realize each other’s worth. Please touch the heart of my partner and fill it with much love for me. Make our complicated relationship become uncomplicated. I seek for your mercy and blessing that you may allow us to spend the rest of our lives with each other. Please make this feeling mutual for both of us. Lead us not into temptations, especially during times of stress, feelings of being overwhelmed, and in situations/places that may lend to these temptations. Make us both seek and maintain exclusivity with each other in this relationship in our thoughts and actions and be honest at all costs. Let us look to each other for support and love. Guide us wherever we go. Always put us in each other’s heart and mind. Allow us to have spontaneity and romantic thoughts/ gestures towards one another. Make us unselfish in our thoughts and gestures towards one another. May there be truth and honesty between us even in difficult situations. May we verbally express our love for each other and our true intentions towards growing as a couple. Protect him from getting any viruses, other health issues, and colds during this time. Encouraged by this thought, I implore you to obtain for me healthy in all senses of the word grandchildren from my two children and their husbands. The answer to my prayer may require a miracle; even so you are the Saint of Miracles. O gentle and loving St. Anthony, whose heart was ever full of human sympathy, whisper my petition into the ears of the Sweet Infant Jesus, who loved to be folded in your arms; and the gratitude of my heart will ever be yours. Amen Our Father, Who art in heaven Hallowed be Thy Name; Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen.
