Miracles waited on your word, which you were ever ready to speak for those in trouble or anxiety. Encouraged by this thought, I implore you to obtain for me healthy in all senses of the word grandchildren from my two children and their husbands. The answer to my prayer may require a miracle; even so you are the Saint of Miracles. Dear God, You generously blessed Your Servant, St. Pio of Pietrelcina, with the gifts of the Spirit. You marked his body with the five wounds of Christ Crucified, as a Powerful witness to the saving Passion and Death of Your Son. Endowed with the gift of discernment, St. Pio labored endlessly in the confessional for the salvation of souls. With reverence and intense devotion in the celebration of Mass, he invited countless men and women to a greater union with Jesus Christ in the Sacrament of the Holy Eucharist.

" JOB 37: 14-18 (NIV)**********"IT'S THE MIDDLE OF SUMMER, and last week the weather forecast called for rain for ten days. Invitations to summer fun fell like dominoes, parties canceled, outdoor activities postponed. *** And then-you guessed it-it turned out that the forecast was gloomier that the reality. On most days, rain has been brief or hasn't come at all. This morning-at the dawn of the weekend of so many canceled events-the sun is bright, the birds chirping. ***We're told that forewarned is forearmed, and there's wisdom in that. But I'm thinking about how Jesus came to preach good news-the kind of news that is radically different from what people expect from the world. That's the forecast I want to hear and follow! ***Technology seems to be "enhancing" our lives by increasing the amount of information at our fingertips so that we can make better decisions. But all that data distracts and deceives us. It keeps us from remembering Jesus is in control, not us.****Meanwhile, Jesus is here with us, right now, sharing a very different forecast. It's as if Jesus is saying, "I have planted the answer in your heart, and you'll grown into them in time." In prayer with Jesus, your heart, and you'll grow into them in time."
