A SUNDAY PRAYER - O God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. Your Son cared for the welfare of every person and went about doing good for all. Grant us the imagination and the resolution to create throughout the world a just and hopeful world for the human family. Make us agents of your compassion and mercy to the suffering, the persecuted and the oppressed. We pray this through the Spirit of your Son, Jesus Christ. Amen. Lord please help my daughter to find a new safe place to live. Please help her with the ability to find a new place soon that is affordable and a good commute. Help her with the stress anxiety to search and work and commute while trying to find a new place. Help everyone who is faced with this and the short notice they are given to move out. Help the process for those in control housing policies and enforcement.

God, oftentimes during the day I recite the Lord's Prayer, which I find very assuring and encouraging. However I always feel baffled about it. 'Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.' With so many wars raging against Christianity and with thousands of laws and by-laws sanctioning atrocities on humanity, I say that we are very far from Your kingdom and Your will. Merciful God, in Jesus' name open my heart and my soul that I may hear and interpret well Your calling. Amen.
