Lord of all
I give You thanks and praise. Please, plant Your Word and the Holy Eucharist in my heart where it will grow and ,in Your time, near fruit. May I love, forgive and serve my neighbor as you taught me. Please, Lord, change my heart this Lent.
Father, as all is given new life in Spring, please, give George new life. Free him from depression, and bring forth your light to shine upon him
Please,send your Holy Spirit to reassure,comfort and console Lynne, Hope and all those who are fighting disease this day. May they see You in a special way through their suffering.
Please, bless my family, friends, neighbors. Forgive my son's and make me worthy to serve you.

Creator God, in Jesus’ name, be with our bedridden Claire with oedema. See to the safe delivery of her twin babies. Medical experts opined that she should abort her pregnancy. But she resisted this boldly. Now, that delivery day is near; we leave her in Your hands. You know that she loves You. On that special day for her and You, be with her and let her feel You. Let her enjoy the gift of her love in marriage. Bless the role You entrusted in her to be Your partner in Your plan of creation. Amen.

The Pharisee stood by himself and prayed; 'God, I thank you that I am not like other people-robbers, evildoers, adulterers-or even like this tax collector." LUKE 18:10-11 (NIV)********"I WAS AHEAD OF SCHEDULE for a writing deadline and had been working faithfully every weekday. Friday, I returned home from a doctor appointment exhausted. My body felt that feverish-flu sensation as if dozens of little elves were hitting me with tiny bats. The sensible choice would be to take a sick day and rest. Yet even as I considered that option, I told myself I needed to be diligent. Write every day. Push myself harder. ** When I stopped to pray about my choices, Jesus challenged me to look at my motivations. He reminded me of the Pharisee praying in the temple. Prayer is a good thing. Yet Jesus used the story as an example of wrong motivations. **Writing faithfully was a good thing, but in my case, I hesitated to take a day off out of fear. Fear that if I missed a day I'd forget how to write. Fear that everyone else in the world was getting ahead of me. And the root of that fear was a lack of trust in Jesus. Could I trust Him to help me resume my work if I dared take time off? **Like the Pharisee, we can be influenced by mixed motives in our daily lives: pride, fear, winning the praise of people, or a desire to control.** We can often do the right thing for the wrong reasons. Jesus challenges us to go deeper. To make choices motivated by trust and love. At times, He will encourage us to step forward boldly. Other times, He'll call us to step back and rest. O Holy St. Anthony, gentlest of saints, your love for God and Charity for His creatures, made you worthy, when on earth, to possess miraculous powers. Miracles waited on your word, which you were ever ready to speak for those in trouble or anxiety. Encouraged by this thought, I implore you to obtain for me healthy in all senses of the word grandchildren from my two children and their husbands. The answer to my prayer may require a miracle; even so you are the Saint of Miracles. O gentle and loving St. Anthony, whose heart was ever full of human sympathy, whisper my petition into the ears of the Sweet Infant Jesus, who loved to be folded in your arms; and the gratitude of my heart will ever be yours. You marked his body with the five wounds of Christ Crucified, as a Powerful witness to the saving Passion and Death of Your Son. Endowed with the gift of discernment, St. Pio labored endlessly in the confessional for the salvation of souls. With reverence and intense devotion in the celebration of Mass, he invited countless men and women to a greater union with Jesus Christ in the Sacrament of the Holy Eucharist.

"I WAS A LATECOMER TO THE DOWNTOWN ABBEY craze a few years ago, but soon became fascinated with the vast differences between high society and servant status and the similarities between their hearts' longings, strengths, and weaknesses. Staff members took their responsibilities seriously. I was humbled by their quick response times, how they anticipated the needs of their masters and mistresses and made accommodations for the smallest or most inconvenient requests. Then I reread this passage from Luke 12. Speaking to His close followers, Jesus told them to be " dressed for service...like people waiting for their master to come home." What does that mean to a twenty-first-century servant of Jesus Christ? Am I ready for whatever He asks of me? Could that mean that I need to devote myself to match the Scriptures I know with the references where they're found in the Bible, so I'm ready to share them with others without a Google search? Could it mean taking an online Bible study? Or filling my pantry with extra food so I'm ready to be hospitable, inviting someone into our home, preparing a meal for a family in need, providing for people without food? From the context of that passage, it's obvious "dressed" didn't mean wearing an apron at all times or dressing what used to be called "Sunday best" in case Jesus returns before our next breath. And it seems clear He meant it to include anytime He calls on us, not just when He calls us home. I'm going to spend time today considering how I can be royal-ready for whatever He requires."
