ASH WEDNESDAY - O God, with ashes on our forehead we begin Lent knowing that the rest of the journey will not be pubic like today but perhaps more personal, more one on one with you. We will give up things or perhaps do things to hopefully focus our lives on what is most important. We will pray to draw strength for the journey. We will give of ourselves as your ambassadors so that it is not just about "me" but about "us" about You! And so, as we journey, we ask you to create in us a clean heart and renew in us a steadfast spirit. Help us to remember that now, today is the right time, the acceptable time to encounter and know your love. Fill us with the hope that by your grace we are journeying together in your love. Amen!

Bless me and my partner, so that we may never surrender to whatever challenges that come our way. Fill our hearts with love for each other, and may you make each one of us realize each other’s worth. Please touch the heart of my partner and fill it with much love for me. Make our complicated relationship become uncomplicated. Dear Lord please watch over my Mom. Provide her protection from those whom wish to do her harm. Protect and guide me in my new positions at work. Let truthfulness, justice, and the moral compass of others prevail for her. Help her acquire a job. Continue to provide protection, health, happiness, love, good spirits, financial stability, and piece of mind to my family and me. Help my special someone’s Knee and soul heal that he may find peace. Let there be authenticity, respect, truthfulness, appreciation, and genuine love in my relationship as that is what I am seeking and in need of at this time in my life. Help him have genuine show of appreciation for me. Protect him and provide him safe travels to and from Jamaica. Please Mother Mary through your intercession, pray for my sister Ana who is afflicted with heavy menstrual bleeding (excuse me) all her adult life. May this condition of hers be healed through the power of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. May the example of the bleeding woman in the Bible who was cured when she touched His cloak be reflected on Ana as well. Oh Mother Mary, I pray for the world and all in it that may all be safeguarded from the snares and evils of the devil. I also pray for my other sister Lyn with her job. Lastly, I want to thank you God for all the blessings and answered prayers you have granted to me and my family over the years. I thank you for my mother who is such a dear and feisty person. Dear Lord, I pray: for all of our family members to get along with each other much, much better right away -- and that we enjoy each other’s company, have great conversations, respect each other, and that we have fun together. for my son to be honest and trustworthy and legal now and forever, for my son to go to confession as soon as possible and return to full communion with the Catholic Church right away, and become a great Christian, Catholic gentleman who becomes a great witness for the Lord and His Church, in thanksgiving that my son got a job – that he might do very well at it, enjoy it, work full time or more at it, develop skills and traits and wisdom that guide him to what he should be doing next in life, and for all of my family's ailments -- spiritual, physical, mental, or emotional -- to be cured quickly and completely, most especially the depression and anxiety affecting my son.
