ASH WEDNESDAY - O God, with ashes on our forehead we begin Lent knowing that the rest of the journey will not be pubic like today but perhaps more personal, more one on one with you. We will give up things or perhaps do things to hopefully focus our lives on what is most important. We will pray to draw strength for the journey. We will give of ourselves as your ambassadors so that it is not just about "me" but about "us" about You! And so, as we journey, we ask you to create in us a clean heart and renew in us a steadfast spirit. Help us to remember that now, today is the right time, the acceptable time to encounter and know your love. Fill us with the hope that by your grace we are journeying together in your love. Amen!

Dear Lord please watch over my Mom. Provide her protection from those whom wish to do her harm. Protect and guide me in my new positions at work. Let truthfulness, justice, and the moral compass of others prevail for her. Help her acquire a job. Continue to provide protection, health, happiness, love, good spirits, financial stability, and piece of mind to my family and me. Help my special someone’s Knee and soul heal that he may find peace. Let there be authenticity, respect, truthfulness, appreciation, and genuine love in my relationship as that is what I am seeking and in need of at this time in my life. Dear Lord, I offer you this prayer, to help me with my current relationship situation. Please take away all the pain and hurt in my heart. Fill it with love, joy, patience, and understanding. Bless me and my partner, so that we may never surrender to whatever challenges that come our way. Fill our hearts with love for each other, and may you make each one of us realize each other’s worth. Please touch the heart of my partner and fill it with much love for me. Make our complicated relationship become uncomplicated. I seek for your mercy and blessing that you may allow us to spend the rest of our lives with each other. Please make this feeling mutual for both of us. Lead us not into temptations, especially during times of stress, feelings of being overwhelmed, and in situations/places that may lend to these temptations. Almighty God, at times I am overwhelmed by what goes on around me. Strife among nations, families and people make it hard for me to be positive and smiley. But then Abbā, I think of You and of the never-ending love You pour on me, and I think of Jesus whom You gave me as a protective brother. And somehow, hope fills my spirit, hurts made by those who betrayed me diminish, and a new dawn seems to be near. Thank You God for the care You give me and for giving me a Brother to show me the way. Amen.

My heavenly Father, You are the God of bounty and I will not stop thanking You as I praise and exalt Your name. However, in times of lack, I may be envious for what others have. Abbā do not let me judge You, nor query Your decisions.
