"When Jesus saw Nathanael approaching, he said..."Here truly is an Israelite in whom there is no deceit." John 1:47 (NIV)*******"THE CALLING OF THE FIRST Disciples in John I crackles with excitement. You can sense the beginning of something big, something that's going to change the world, as these fishermen see Jesus for the first time and decide to follow Him. ***Of course, when it was happening they didn't know how special it was. In fact, one of the men wasn't sure he even wanted to follow Jesus. "Nazareth! Can anything good come from there?" Nathanael asked. ***Jesus's response is telling. Rather than being offended, He looked at Nathanael and declared, "Here truly is an Israelite in whom there is no deceit." Nathanael said, "How do you know me?" ***He's astonished. Amazed. And, I believe, touched. Jesus answered, "I saw you while you were still under the fig tree before Philip called you." ***I saw you. To this Nathanael could only exclaim, "Rabbi, you are the Son of God; you are the king of Israel." ***Why did Nathanael change so abruptly from skeptic to a believer? Jesus saw him as no one has ever seen or known him before, even his rather rude question, Jesus appreciated his honesty. You're a truth teller, Jesus said. I could use a guy like that.***Jesus was never afraid of a person's honest questions or doubts. They didn't make Him defensive. His response to Nathanael was like it later would be to Thomas. I see you. Now come and see me. Dear Lord, I offer you this prayer, to help me with my current relationship situation. Please take away all the pain and hurt in my heart. Fill it with love, joy, patience, and understanding. Bless me and my partner, so that we may never surrender to whatever challenges that come our way. Fill our hearts with love for each other, and may you make each one of us realize each other’s worth. Please touch the heart of my partner and fill it with much love for me. Make our complicated relationship become uncomplicated. I seek for your mercy and blessing that you may allow us to spend the rest of our lives with each other. Please make this feeling mutual for both of us. Lead us not into temptations, especially during times of stress, feelings of being overwhelmed, and in situations/places that may lend to these temptations. Make us both seek and maintain exclusivity with each other in this relationship in our thoughts and actions and be honest at all costs. Let us look to each other for support and love. Guide us wherever we go. Always put us in each other’s heart and mind. Allow us to have spontaneity and romantic thoughts/ gestures towards one another. Make us unselfish in our thoughts and gestures towards one another. May there be truth and honesty between us even in difficult situations. May we verbally express our love for each other and our true intentions towards growing as a couple. Protect him from getting any viruses, other health issues, and colds during this time. Dear Lord please watch over my family. Provide them protection from those whom wish to do them harm. Provide peace of mind and guidance for my daughter. Protect and guide me at my positions for my three jobs. Let truthfulness, justice, and the moral compass of others prevail for me and my family. Continue to provide protection, safety, health, happiness, love, good spirits, financial stability and growth, and piece of mind to my family and me. Provide me the opportunity to grow my finances for the sake of my daughter’s education and towards my independence. Heal me from what ails me right now and get my body back to its healthy, lean state. Help D.J.s knee and soul heal that he may find peace with himself and his family, and help him grow his finances. Let there be authenticity, respect for me , truthfulness, sense of being valued, and genuine love in my relationship as that is what I am seeking and in need of at this time in my life. Help him have genuine show of appreciation for me, and be completely transparent and honest. God please protect and heal J.J. and provide him with comfort and love he needs during this difficult time. Protect D.J. ,all my friends, family, and me from getting any colds and viruses. Heal those with the virus, protect those who come in contact with the virus, especially our healthcare workers, law enforcement, grocery/store and delivery workers, those with compromised immune systems, elderly, those with underlying health conditions, and military. Thank you for all of the blessings that you have bestowed upon us as we are forever grateful. In Jesus name I pray. Amen

Lord thank you for the start of a new week, blessings received and prayers answered. Lord bless all my children, family members and friends with your love and grace today and every day of their lives. St. Dymphna continue to watch over my son Jeremy who lives with mental illness. Holy Spirit light and guide my children way, Blessed Mother protect and keep them safe, especially during this pandemic. My body ached, and light-headedness had me gripping the walls for support. It was going to be a "stuck in bed" sort of day. My grandson was sitting in his booster seat at the table and lit up. He loves when I read to him, even though we have to squeeze it in around his family's busy routine. **"Not today, buddy. Gramma's not feeling well." ***He gave me his most sympathetic look. "Hug?" he asked. I picked him up, and he nestled into my shoulder, patting my back gently. Bliss and comfort in a little two-year-old package. ***The experience left me thinking about he many ways Jesus sends us comfort. When we open our Bible, words may spring off the page that are exactly what we need to hear. A song may open our page that are exactly what we need to hear. A song may open our heart and stir us to worship. A friend may call or text or email with an encouraging note. Or a two-year-old may wrap chubby arms around our neck. I whatever form it takes, we can acknowledge that Jesus is pouring out His love to us. His compassion acknowledges our hurt and never belittles us. Dear God, You generously blessed Your Servant, St. Pio of Pietrelcina, with the gifts of the Spirit. You marked his body with the five wounds of Christ Crucified, as a Powerful witness to the saving Passion and Death of Your Son. Endowed with the gift of discernment, St. Pio labored endlessly in the confessional for the salvation of souls. With reverence and intense devotion in the celebration of Mass, he invited countless men and women to a greater union with Jesus Christ in the Sacrament of the Holy Eucharist.
Through the intercession of St. Pio of Pietrelcina, I confidently beseech You to grant me the grace of healthy in all senses of the word grandchildren from my two daughters. Amen
