Club in hand, each member of our family took turns aiming the ball toward tiny holes in fake barns or used advanced geometry to compute bank shots. As I watched, I saw similarities to the unique routes each of us chose for our faith journeys. **Though our goal were identical, we all attacked the challenge differently. My son-in-law studied the various traps and used great care for each shot, a reflection of the thoughtful way he lives his faith. MY daughter kidded around until the moment she swung the club; then she concentrated on the shot. Secure as she is in her place with Jesus, her joy is infectious, her witness focused and effective. MY husband seemed to follow the longest route to the hole, as if on purpose. He relishes every moment with the Lord, spending valuable time in the Bible and serving others daily.**I just whacked the ball and hoped. For years I've relied on Jesus to direct me past the tricky anthills and blind shots of life, trusting in Him to guide me along the ay. Even if I smack the ball completely off the course. Like the variance in how we live out our faith, we all acknowledge there are many ways to Jesus-but only one way to the Father Jesus. Miracles waited on your word, which you were ever ready to speak for those in trouble or anxiety. Encouraged by this thought, I implore you to obtain for me healthy in all senses of the word grandchildren from my two children and their husbands. The answer to my prayer may require a miracle; even so you are the Saint of Miracles.
