O Holy St. Anthony, gentlest of saints, your love for God and Charity for His creatures, made you worthy, when on earth, to possess miraculous powers. Miracles waited on your word, which you were ever ready to speak for those in trouble or anxiety. Encouraged by this thought, I implore you to obtain for me healthy in all senses of the word grandchildren from my two children and their husbands. The answer to my prayer may require a miracle; even so you are the Saint of Miracles. O gentle and loving St. Anthony, whose heart was ever full of human sympathy, whisper my petition into the ears of the Sweet Infant Jesus, who loved to be folded in your arms; and the gratitude of my heart will ever be yours. PSALM 55:22 (NLT)************"MY SON AND HIS FAMILY live on the southwestern tip of Vancouver Island, British Columbia. My husband & I wanted to show them our sailboat shortly after we bought it, so we headed their direction by sea. Thankfully the winds and waves were gentle. Nonetheless, we rocked and rolled for two full days and one night.***Our daughter-in-law invited us to sleep in their home rather than on our boat in a nearby marina, and we accepted. That night while getting ready for bed, I stood on one leg to remove my jeans. To my shock, I suddenly keeled over sideways and hit the floor. What in the world caused that? I wondered as I picked myself up, grateful no one had witnessed my tumble.****A seasoned fisherman later told me that constant sea motion forces our brains and bodies to compensate so we can stand upright on a boat. Returning to land requires our bodies to readjust. Until they do, we may feel tipsy or lose our balance.***Becoming aware of this helped me remember to look for ways to steady myself onshore after other voyages-walk while holding my husband's arm and stand near a counter. It also made me more appreciative of Bible promises like today's key verse. Its application is short but oh, so sweet: our life's experiences can sometimes upset our emotional, mental, and spiritual equilibrium, but nothing throws Jesus off balance. Dear Lord, I offer you this prayer, to help me with my current relationship situation. Please take away all the pain and hurt in my heart. Fill it with love, joy, patience, and understanding. Bless me and my partner, so that we may never surrender to whatever challenges that come our way. Fill our hearts with love for each other, and may you make each one of us realize each other’s worth. Please touch the heart of my partner and fill it with much love for me. Make our complicated relationship become uncomplicated. I seek for your mercy and blessing that you may allow us to spend the rest of our lives with each other. Please make this feeling mutual for both of us. Lead us not into temptations, especially during times of stress, feelings of being overwhelmed, and in situations/places that may lend to these temptations. Make us both seek and maintain exclusivity with each other in this relationship in our thoughts and actions and be honest at all costs. Let us look to each other for support and love. Guide us wherever we go. Always put us in each other’s heart and mind. Allow us to have spontaneity and romantic thoughts/ gestures towards one another. Make us unselfish in our thoughts and gestures towards one another. May there be truth and honesty between us even in difficult situations. Dear Lord please watch over my family. Provide them protection from those whom wish to do them harm. Provide peace of mind and guidance for my daughter in her pursuit to college. Protect and guide me at my jobs., and assist me with obtaining and maintaining financial growth and stability. Let truthfulness, justice, and the moral compass of others prevail for me and my family. Continue to provide protection, safety, health, happiness, love, and piece of mind to my family and me. Provide me the opportunity to grow my finances for the sake of my daughter’s education and towards my independence. Heal me from what ails me right now and get my body back to its healthy, lean state. Help D.J.s body and soul heal that he may find peace with himself and his family, and help him grow his finances. Let there be authenticity, respect for me, truthfulness, sense of being valued, and genuine love in my relationship as that is what I am seeking and in need of at this time in my life. Help him have genuine show of appreciation for me, and be completely transparent and honest. God please protect and heal J.J. and provide him with comfort and love he needs during this difficult time. Protect D.J. ,all my friends, family, and me from getting any colds and viruses. Heal those with the virus, protect those who come in contact with the virus, especially our healthcare workers, law enforcement, grocery/store and delivery workers, those with compromised immune systems, elderly, those with underlying health conditions, and military.
