Jesus answered, "If I want him to remain alive until I return, what is that to you? You must follow me." John 21:20-22 (NIV)********YESTERDAY I DISCOVERED A COLLEAGUE of mine had been given a position I felt I deserved. I heard it from a friend. Struggling to maintain composure, I regulated my voice to hide my emotions.** After the shock wore off, I spent time alone, stoking fires of indignation and jealousy. Does Jesus love her more than me? Dark thoughts clouded my mind as I muffled the Holy Spirit's urgings to pray. I was determined to stay angry. I dredged up other situations in which the Lord had seemed to reward others, leaving me in the background. Poor me!** In the next moment I felt as if I'd been shaken from the inside out. I hung my head, suddenly aware of a fresh sin I thought I'd conquered long ago. Praying, I asked Jesus to forgive my covetous spirit. I thanked Him for all He'd already given me and acknowledged it was more than enough, much more than I deserved.***Like an invisible hug, a song came to mind, and I smiled. Jesus loves me. Thank you Father in Jesus' Most Powerful & Precious Name for healing what removed my voice. My voice is one of the main tools I need for basic survival, source of income for myself and my son. Thank you Father. Father as your daughter, I pray and plead to You, in Jesus' Name, please forgive us of our sins for we did not know what we were doing. Please I beg of You, bless us with wisdom, each & everyone one of us in Your world, on our only planet to know how to become better as Your children, to improve ourselves for a better life following Your teachings as exemplified by Your Son Jesus our Christ, our Savior. Please let us see the light at the end of this tunnel we are in. Please let all the food production and basic essentials go back to normal, please FAther please.
