GALATIANS 5:22-23 (ESV)*******"MY FRIEND MARIE WAS IN a rehabilitation center while recuperating from a major surgery. "I can't wait for you to meet my favorite nurse, Crystal," she said. "You'll love her. She's such a good Christian Lady." When Crystal came into the room. I was immediately impressed by how friendly and caring she was." Crystal came to check on me on her day off," Marie said. Crystal smiled at me and said, " I was concerned about Marie, so I brought my daughters to visit." Later I realized Crystal had driven over eighty miles to visit Mare. When I asked why she'd traveled so far, she answered. " Jesus put here for a purpose. I want to spread His love to the people who need me. I could work closer to home, but I am following His will." ***Marie and I sat in the lobby visiting. Many of the people who lived as the facility looked forgotten. I watched Crystal as she walked down the hall, an aura of kindness surrounding her as she smiled and talked to the patients. She stopped and readjusted someone in a chair or gave someone water. As we sat there, she kneeled beside one lady and prayed. She rubbed the woman's back and hugged her. Crystal was being Jesus to these people. It was a beautiful thing to witness. ** The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. Dear Lord please watch over my family. Provide them protection from those whom wish to do them harm. Provide peace of mind and guidance for my daughter. Protect and guide me at my positions for my three jobs. Let truthfulness, justice, and the moral compass of others prevail for me and my family. Continue to provide protection, safety, health, happiness, love, good spirits, financial stability and growth, and piece of mind to my family and me. Provide me the opportunity to grow my finances for the sake of my daughter’s education and towards my independence. Heal me from what ails me right now and get my body back to its healthy, lean state. Help D.J.s knee and soul heal that he may find peace with himself and his family, and help him grow his finances. Let there be authenticity, respect for me , truthfulness, sense of being valued, and genuine love in my relationship as that is what I am seeking and in need of at this time in my life. Help him have genuine show of appreciation for me, and be completely transparent and honest. God please protect and heal J.J. and provide him with comfort and love he needs during this difficult time. Protect D.J. and all my friends and family from getting any colds and viruses. Heal those with the virus, protect those who come in contact with the virus, especially our healthcare workers, law enforcement, grocery/store and delivery workers, those with compromised immune systems, elderly, those with underlying health conditions, and military. Dear Lord, I offer you this prayer, to help me with my current relationship situation. Please take away all the pain and hurt in my heart. Fill it with love, joy, patience, and understanding. Bless me and my partner, so that we may never surrender to whatever challenges that come our way. Fill our hearts with love for each other, and may you make each one of us realize each other’s worth. Please touch the heart of my partner and fill it with much love for me. Make our complicated relationship become uncomplicated. I seek for your mercy and blessing that you may allow us to spend the rest of our lives with each other. Please make this feeling mutual for both of us. Lead us not into temptations, especially during times of stress, feelings of being overwhelmed, and in situations/places that may lend to these temptations. Make us both seek and maintain exclusivity with each other in this relationship in our thoughts and actions and be honest at all costs. Let us look to each other for support and love. Guide us wherever we go. Always put us in each other’s heart and mind. Allow us to have spontaneity and romantic thoughts/ gestures towards one another. Make us unselfish in our thoughts and gestures towards one another. May there be truth and honesty between us even in difficult situations. May we verbally express our love for each other and our true intentions towards growing as a couple. Protect him from getting any viruses, other health issues, and colds during this time. Luke 23: 4-8 (NLT)********"AS I SIT HERE WRITING, my son, Isaac, is singing the soundtrack from Frozen at the top of his lungs. He brings truly immeasurable and uniquely delivered love and joy to me, my family, and many others. Yet, when he was born with Down syndrome just after Easter ten years ago, I confess it was one of the darkest times of my life--an agonizing and humbling admission for a mom to make. Now I can say with complete honesty that Isaac is one of the greatest joys of my life, a precious and continuous gift. His guileless and generous affection, unprejudiced enjoyment of the littlest things, keen emotional intuition, and innocent yet profound faith are priceless blessings. Plus, he's just plain fun. ***As I remember those early, dark moments of my pregnancy and those first months after Isaac's arrival, I think about the last few days of Jesus's life. How unspeakably dark that time must have been for His followers. The hope Jesus offered was seemingly extinguished on that hill. I found myself unexpectedly but joyously pregnant at forty-three with the heart-welling anticipation of new life; then that joy was suddenly, confusingly, agonizingly gone.***Did the apostles feel the same way? Were they lost in despair? But we're wrong to underestimate God's omnipotence and His love for us! The empty tomb and then Jesus's appearance in the upper room heralded joy, just as Isaac does for me today. If you are at what seems like a terminal low point, look to the cross. Recall how hopeless it all seemed. Then remember Easter. Miracles waited on your word, which you were ever ready to speak for those in trouble or anxiety. Encouraged by this thought, I implore you to obtain for me healthy in all senses of the word grandchildren from my two children and their husbands. The answer to my prayer may require a miracle; even so you are the Saint of Miracles.
