FIRST SUNDAY OF LENT - God of Life, be with us in our journey through Lent and life. Remind us of the story of your love each day that we may truly believe in our hearts that you are our God. In our moments of choice and decision help us to choose wisely. Have mercy on us when we don't. Remind us amid our struggles to always call upon your name for help. Enrich us with your gift of hope that will enable us to always remember your love. Amen!

Dear Lord please watch over my family. Provide them protection from those whom wish to do them harm. Provide peace of mind and guidance for my daughter in her pursuit to college. Protect and guide me at my jobs., and assist me with obtaining and maintaining financial growth and stability. Let truthfulness, justice, and the moral compass of others prevail for me and my family. Continue to provide protection, safety, health, happiness, love, and piece of mind to my family and me. Provide me the opportunity to grow my finances for the sake of my daughter’s education and towards my independence. Heal me from what ails me right now and get my body back to its healthy, lean state. Help D.J.s body and soul heal that he may find peace with himself and his family, and help him grow his finances. Let there be authenticity, respect for me, truthfulness, sense of being valued, and genuine love in my relationship as that is what I am seeking and in need of at this time in my life. Dear Lord, I offer you this prayer, to help me with my current relationship situation. Please take away all the pain and hurt in my heart. Fill it with love, joy, patience, and understanding. Bless me and my partner, so that we may never surrender to whatever challenges that come our way. Fill our hearts with love for each other, and may you make each one of us realize each other’s worth. Please touch the heart of my partner and fill it with much love for me. Make our complicated relationship become uncomplicated. I seek for your mercy and blessing that you may allow us to spend the rest of our lives with each other. Please make this feeling mutual for both of us. Lead us not into temptations, especially during times of stress, feelings of being overwhelmed, and in situations/places that may lend to these temptations. Make us both seek and maintain exclusivity with each other in this relationship in our thoughts and actions and be honest at all costs. Let us look to each other for support and love. Guide us wherever we go. Always put us in each other’s heart and mind. Allow us to have spontaneity and romantic thoughts/ gestures towards one another. Make us unselfish in our thoughts and gestures towards one another. May there be truth and honesty between us even in difficult situations. We linger near the sting ray pool, giggling each time a ray passed under our fingertips. Two days later, we took a ferry to spend the day on a small nearby island in the Gulf of Mexico. As we walked the shore, we saw dozens of sting rays gliding through the water. We again lingered to watch, but with a different kind of awe and respect. Seeing the rays at the rescue center was fun, but observing them living and thriving in their natural habitat was much more impressive. ***The samwe can be true for our faith-it is meant to be lived out"in the wild." Church communities provide the equipping we need to do the hard work of living out faith in our everyday lives.***As we work out our faith-on the job with a challenging coworker, in our home with difficult children, in the doctor's office with an unwanted diagnosis, recovering from an addiction, or in whatever challenge we face-we can see God working to fulfill His purposes through us. Expressing our faith in church is one thing. The key is the love in her response. It's what comes trough first. Her eyes smilie when she's giving me this feedback. Hers is an honest response to my honest way of being. Instead of triggering defensiveness, it gives me an opportunity to ponder my actions and wonder if I might try a different approach in the future.****As Christians, we're familiar with the concept of "preparing the way of the Lord." Dear Lord Almighty, I humbly pray for my BFF Felice Adel who is now fighting stage 4 Pancreatic cancer. Please give her the hope and courage that she needs each day. Comfort her in her pain and bless her with healing - both bodily and spiritually. Please strengthen her faith and trust in You as well as her family especially her husband Rudy so that they will be able to carry the cross that they are all suffering now. Please have mercy dear Lord and let my BFF Fely heal from this sickness and surround her with the Precious Blood of Jesus so she will be able to bear her pain...through Jesus Christ, our Lord, Amen.
