Dear Lord, I listen to concerns of a person dear to me. She wonders about technology and it's domination in modern society as perhaps it being used as false hope. At least that is what I gather from what she said. I spoke of prayer, it could be both as an individual or as a communal event.
But is not love to be spoken of in the same way? Love, basically, to think more of the other than of the self. It works on an individual basis, and very much so, because one can fall in love and the other person does not have to agree, or even be aware of it. I know 'cause it happened to me last year, in fact. I can't deny, though, that I had a great time of it anyway. But cannot love work on a communal basis, as a whole? I wonder about that. Does it come down to "What is in a persons heart to do?- What is in a nations heart to do? Can a persons heart be split as perhaps that of our nation is today? Maybe I am just rambling on, I don't find that I have any answers to much of anything at this time. But I do believe that there is a time for everything under the sun. Patience, eh?
