PRAYER OF LOVE - If I speak in human and angelic tongues* but do not have love, I am a resounding gong or a clashing cymbal. And if I have the gift of prophecy and comprehend all mysteries and all knowledge; if I have all faith so as to move mountains but do not have love, I am nothing. If I give away everything I own, and if I hand my body over so that I may boast but do not have love, I gain nothing.
Love is patient, love is kind. It is not jealous, [love] is not pompous, it is not inflated, it is not rude, it does not seek its own interests, it is not quick-tempered, it does not brood over injury, it does not rejoice over wrongdoing but rejoices with the truth. It bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never fails.
So, faith, hope, love remain, these three; but the greatest of these is Love.

Thank you, Father, for all you have done for my Dad. He wanted to be able to come home from the hospital and enjoy what time he has left on this earth before returning home to You and You blessed him with that time. If it is your will I ask for your healing of all his illnesses but if that is not your will, Lord I ask that You prepare him to come home to You in peace, joy and love and that You would forgive whatever sins he may have. Thank you for all you have done for our family so that we could have this precious time with Dad. I have the courage to ask You this only in Jesus name and because of His great love and sacrifice for us, knowing I am deserving of nothing on my own.

Please Lord continue to hear and answer my prayers regarding Henry, that the antibiotics will clear and heal his prostate problems and that the physical therapy I will be going through will also help my rotator cuff injury heal.
