SAINT MAXIMILIAN KOLBE
Dear Christ, Saint Maximilian was imprisoned in Auschwitz where he ministered to the captives and celebrated Mass by consecrating bread and wine that had been smuggled in.
He was martyred after he voluntarily took the place of a young married prisoner condemned to die.
Since he's the patron saint of drug addicts and people in prison, I ask him to intercede for the inmates in our jails.
O Lord, heal their hearts and protect them from the evil that surrounds them. I also ask him to pray for the addicts in my family and my friends' families.
O Lord, set them free from the prison of their addictions.
Saint Maximilian, pray for us.

Heavenly Father, I pray that the situation with Jarrod's job, or lack of, resolves itself quickly. May this somehow help us all to grow and look to the positives in all situations. May our actions, words, and deeds be a testament to your teachings in Jesus' name. Amen.

Dear Lord Jesus, I pray for my friend, Christy. Today, August 28th, she undergoes serious surgery for stage 2 ovarian cancer. Please comfort her, she is so afraid and nervous. Please provide her surgeons with the skills necessary to save her and to heal her, and return her to her beloved career in the performing arts! Amen.
