Please pray for an engaged couple and the people they have hurt that through slandering, gossiping, spreading rumors, etc. to others in a Catholic community, including each other. Their relationship has resulted in the destruction of many friendships, relationships, families, etc. There have been at several couples and individuals affected. Their friends do not see a problem until something serious happens as a result of the lies.The leaders of these groups either don't find them to be a problem, or do not believe anyone that approaches them with a concern. Most innocent people do not believe this until they are personally attacked themselves. Once a person is attacked, they walk away and stay out of the group. The couple will then spread to others who are innocent that the said person who walked away is a bad person and made up stories, explanations as to why this person is "crazy" or "bad." So it is not possible or difficult for that person to keep the well-intentioned friends in the circle, who have fallen for the rumors. I pray for peace and truth, reconciliation and mercy.
