ASH WEDNESDAY - O God, with ashes on our forehead we begin Lent knowing that the rest of the journey will not be pubic like today but perhaps more personal, more one on one with you. We will give up things or perhaps do things to hopefully focus our lives on what is most important. We will pray to draw strength for the journey. We will give of ourselves as your ambassadors so that it is not just about "me" but about "us" about You! And so, as we journey, we ask you to create in us a clean heart and renew in us a steadfast spirit. Help us to remember that now, today is the right time, the acceptable time to encounter and know your love. Fill us with the hope that by your grace we are journeying together in your love. Amen!

Lord thank you for your forgiveness of my sins. Thank you for helping me employed. Watch over all of my family and bless all in need. In particular please heal J and bring him back to the faith. Heal K and let her go forward in her life. Watch over K and J and let them heal and move on. May my nephew A get the help to overcome his addictions and may he find himself back with his family and the church. Watch over me Lord, especially for my upcoming procedure. Guide the hands of the doctors and nurses, and technicians that will perform the procedure and bring me thru safely. Let my meeting be successful on Tuesday at the office. Help me to remain calm. retain my faith. Grant me Lord courage. health and wisdom always. In Jesus' name. Amen.

I am praying for the successful repair an aortic tear. on Oct 27 for my brother Timothy. I am asking the Father in heaven for special blessing so that the surgeons will be able to repair the tear in a noninvasive manner as planned, rather that have to perform a life threating procedure of cut through his stomach to do the repair. Thank you Father for all of the blessing you have given me in my life, Jesus I trust in you!
