I ask for prayers for my family as we prepare to face the first time we will not have my nephew for his coming 19th birthday this June. He died last August and as we approach his one year death anniversary, the sadness is becoming even more overwhelming specially for my brother his dad. I also ask for strength. Not just for myself but for my family and friends. May we all find the peace of mind we long for. May my brother not be angry anymore for losing his only son. May I remain strong in faith and be strong to do what I need to do.

March 27, 2017 Praise report/prayer requests We thank you for your prayers for our family. We had a hearing on March 13. We pleaded no contest to the charges against us (even though we could’ve fought them) and relinquished our parental rights to Jacinta. In return, the state made the permanency objective reunification for Regina and Faustina. The rest of the trial dates were cancelled. We will now be required to participate and be successful in whatever “services” the state sets before us in order to get our two youngest girls back. So it’s not over yet, but we are extremely thankful for having the chance to try to get them back, which we consider an answer to prayer. Praise God!! It can be a long process before they are allowed to live with us again. It will probably take a minimum of six months if all goes well. Our attorneys have advised us to start individual therapy asap since the state will require us to eventually anyway. Please pray that we get good therapists. The reports they write and submit to the state are offered as evidence in court. These could either help or hinder us. Now we are allowed to see Regina in therapy. It will be the first time that we will have seen her since August. The reason that our visits were cancelled in August, after only seeing Regina twice, is because she had extreme behaviors after the visits since she wanted to come back home. We are praying that Regina will behave well after our therapy sessions so we can keep on seeing her. And, of course, we are praying that therapy will help her get to the bottom of her problems. Another answer to prayer is that the judge agreed to approve a higher level of care , i.e. Boystown or a similar facility, for Regina, on the condition that a psychiatrist recommend it. Her first appointment with a new psychiatrist is on April 5. We’re praying that she will make that recommendation. We would appreciate your continued prayers for Jacinta as some things need to happen in order for her to go live with her aunt. First of all, the Colorado Health department has to complete their paperwork from Nebraska DHHS. Secondly, her therapist needs to approve the move. She would have to live with her aunt for six months in order to be adopted by her. Please pray that these conditions be approved quickly. I give thanks to God that she wants to live there since she didn’t want to until a few months ago, and generally the state doesn’t make teens live where the teens don’t want to go. Thank you for your prayers for John Paul. Even though he is struggling, it seems as if his spirit is lighter. And thanks to my parents for visiting him here at our house to give him some fun family interaction. Thank you Lord for giving me an awesome family. Please pray for my dear husband Kevin who has a lot of anger and little to no peace, which negatively affects him and those who live with him. Lord, please give him your eyes, your heart and great trust in You for your plan for our lives. I truly believe that since our prayer family is offering up prayers and sacrifices for us prayers are being answered. And for that, we cannot thank you enough. We are praying for you, as well. God bless you a hundredfold.
