Our heavenly Father, today I think of those who are in difficulties and dangers in many parts of the world. Those without a home and those persecuted because of their faith or race, are in great suffering, as are others for various reasons. God these are all our sisters and brothers in Christ and their pain is ours. God we lift these people to You. In Jesus' name and with His Virgin mother pleading for us, we pray: Lord, draw close to them all, grant them help, and let them feel Your love. Amen.

You marked his body with the five wounds of Christ Crucified, as a Powerful witness to the saving Passion and Death of Your Son. Please pray for my son. His name is David and he is 49 years old. He is morbidly obese, and no longer mobile. He has cellulitis on his lower abdomen. He has finally reached out for help, thank God, and is scheduled to have major surgery in the next few days to remove the infected area of his abdomen. Please pray for a safe and effective surgery, and that he may progress to later have bariatric surgery and become mobile again. Pray also for his spiritual well being, since he has not been faithful in his mass attendance for some time now. All prayers are greatly appreciated.
